LOCAL EXCURSION IN HARIDWAR

Hari-ki-pouri

LOCAL EXCURSION IN HARIDWAR
Including transportation and guidance in Spanish/ English.

In the morning we visit the city. Haridwar is the gateway of pilgrimage to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri in Uttaranchal.

The River Ganges, after flowing for 253 kilometres from its source enters the Indo-Gangetic Plains of North India for the first time at Haridwar, which gave the city its ancient name, Gangadwára.

In this Holy City you can attend some of the most sacred Hindu rituals. Throughout the year devotees from all over the country gather here to perform Poojas or prayers. At the Hari-ki-pouri gath you can take a sacred bath, then visit the Temple of Mansa Devi, to where we ascend by cable car. Then we will see the bazaar, a network of streets, very typical and interesting, where one can buy traditional clothes and accessorises for yogis or gems, malas, yantras related to the Hindu culture.
We take a well deserved lunch in a local restaurant.

One can not leave without visiting and meditating in the ashram of Ananda Moya Ma, one of the best-known contemporary Saints of India.

Total duration: 7-8 h

Ananda Mayama
